• Forecast price and market trends to Leads a Team of Buyers / Category Manager to ensure Company’s growth and competitive advantage
• Develops the strategic thinking of his unit.
• Ensure that purchasing strategies and identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage utilizing global market exploitation, leveraging spends and leveraging technologies
• Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
• Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process
• Take ownership of the purchasing policy, guidelines, and any associated documents
• Initiate and develop creative and innovative procurement processes
• Reviews, analyses and prepares purchasing forecasts for the Team by Client, by Category and by SKU.
• Ensure supply is on time and avoid any over / out of stocks situations.
• Timely reporting on all purchases to Finance / Accounting, Stock Management, Marketing, Shop Managers and Customer Service.
• Negotiate all necessary procurement, supply chain & logistic issues concerning provision and availability of merchandise on time: shipping, insurance, clearance, transportation and distribution.
