• Submits a comprehensive monthly report to the General Manager/Group Director of Engineering.
• Prepares comprehensive budgets and forecasts to ensure the efficient and cost effective operation of the department.
• Request support and direction as needed.
• Check on completed repair and maintenance works to ensure that established standards have been met.
• To partake in occupational health and safety initiatives and form part of the SBU’s occupational health and safety committee.
• Oversees the implementation, co-ordination and monitoring of the JEMS (Jumeirah Engineering Management System). This includes the Fire, Life and Safety Matrix, PPM and work order system.
• Responsible for appraising and formalising career development / training plans for direct reports.
• To be an active member of the Sustainability Committee of the Hotel and be familiar with the local Authority requirements.
• Handles any grievances, suggestions and complaints forwarded by colleagues and recommends appropriate action.
• Monitors engineering activities to ensure adherence to established policies, operating procedures and standards.
• Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.
• To promote the Jumeirah culture and values of the Company.
• To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.
• Supervises and directs the daily activities of the Resident Engineers Maintenance Managers.
