• Assist the Front Office Manager with the recruitment of staff for the Concierge Department.
• Supervise the employees within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained as stated in the Departmental Operations Manual.
• Identify training needs, carry out and supervise training and document it appropriately.
• Be well informed at all times about any information that might be useful to the guests (i.e. events in town, new restaurants and bars, sport and sightseeing etc.) and to pass the knowledge on to his team.
• Communicate new or amended procedures to relevant departments/ colleagues in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood.
• Review SOP’s regularly and update them in DMS as and when required.
• Oversee the hotel’s contract car valet service ensuring that an optimum service is provided at all times.
• Ensure that responsibilities and authorities are defined and communicated within the department.
• Ensure that all colleagues have a complete understanding of and to adhere to the hotel’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety and security.
• Ensure all Concierge colleagues are equipped with the resources to perform all duties to Jumeirah and Madinat Jumeirah standards.
• Ensure that complaints are attended to promptly and handled in a professional manner according to Jumeirah standards.
