The Waiter Team Leader is responsible for leading the front-of-house service team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in line with the brand s standards. This role requires hands-on service training and supervision of waitstaff and ensuring smooth floor operations during service hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily shift briefings assigning sections and responsibilities to waitstaff.
- Ensure all FOH staff deliver professional friendly and attentive service at all times.
- Monitor guest satisfaction handle complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist in onboarding training and ongoing coaching of new and existing waiters.
- Supervise table setups cleanliness and adherence to service protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist with order taking and table service during peak periods.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge (menu specials diets ingredients allergens).
- Ensure POS transactions are correctly processed and cash handling procedures are followed.
- Conduct regular checks on team grooming hygiene and uniform standards.
- Support management with inventory of service items and daily reports when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a senior waiter or team leader in a high-end restaurant.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Passion for hospitality and guest service.
