Job Title: Project Manager Power Projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the client in all project-related activities ensuring design procurement and construction meet quality safety and contractual standards.
- Oversee the review of engineering designs technical submittals and contractor deliverables.
- Manage the project from the consultancy side coordinating with contractors consultants and stakeholders to ensure timely progress and compliance.
- Monitor and report on schedule budget risks and overall project performance.
- Provide expert advice on technical matters design coordination and construction methodologies.
- Review and validate contractor claims change orders progress payments and contractual correspondence.
- Facilitate coordination between different technical disciplines (civil electrical mechanical) involved in overhead lines substations and power generation systems.
- Participate in project audits risk assessments and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensure project documentation is complete compliant and properly archived.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering (Masters degree is a plus).
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years experience managing power infrastructure projects in a consultancy role.
- Strong understanding of international standards (IEC IEEE etc.) and transmission/distribution engineering practices.
- Experience working with EPC contract or similar contract forms.
- Proven track record in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects in the power sector.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Familiar with project management tools and reporting platforms (Primavera MS Project).
