The System Lead Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) provides leadership and strategic oversight of IPC programs across all healthcare facilities within the organization.
This supervisory role ensures system-wide compliance with local and international infection control standards and supports the development and implementation of policies procedures and initiatives to minimize infection risks and promote patient and staff safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote continuous productivity and performance improvement among staff.
Align IPC strategies with system-wide goals through collaboration with leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure compliance with international standards and accreditation requirements across all sites.
Collect analyze and present IPC data and trends to key stakeholders and committees.
Conduct regular facility rounds to monitor IPC practices and compliance.
Develop and implement standardized evidence-based IPC strategies system-wide.
Utilize statistical tools to analyze infection data and present findings using clear visual formats.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Bachelor in Medicine/Nursing/Laboratory Technology/Microbiology/Public Health/Biology/Health-related field
Masters in Healthcare or related field - Preferred.
Internationally Recognized professional Certification (E.g. CIC Certification in Infection Control) - Required.
PhD in Infection Prevention and Control- Preferred.
Experience of a minimum 5 years in the healthcare quality field in activities relevant to the roles.
Experience of 2 years - Progressive experience in patient safety or facilitating interdisciplinary improvement teams in a healthcare setting or other relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Expertise in developing and enforcing IPC policies aligned with local and international standards.
- Proven leadership in managing IPC-related projects and training programs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
- Deep understanding of evidence-based IPC practices and healthcare regulations.
- Skilled in data analysis reporting and using insights to drive improvement.
- Proficient in auditing identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to navigate complex healthcare environments.
- Effective in problem-solving conflict resolution and change management.
- Committed to staying current on emerging diseases technologies and global IPC standards.
- Upholds ethical principles and legal compliance in healthcare operations.
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving healthcare trends and regulatory updates.
