Mondrian Abu Dhabi is poised to be a defining lifestyle destination in the region and were looking for an exceptional Hotel Manager to join us during the preopening phase. As Hotel Manager you will play a critical leadership role working closely with the General Manager to bring the vision of Mondrian to life. From overseeing daily hotel operations to driving performance and culture across all departments your influence will shape every part of the guest journey.
Youll be at the heart of the action leading teams optimising processes and ensuring every guest touchpoint reflects the creativity flair and sophistication Mondrian is known for.
How your day looks like:
Lead the operational setup of the hotel in the preopening phase including SOP development team recruitment training and departmental coordination.
Provide handson leadership and support across key operational departments including Rooms Food & Beverage Spa Engineering and Housekeeping.
Collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure all hotel activities align with brand strategy guest experience goals and commercial targets.
Champion Mondrians brand values by ensuring a consistently high standard of service design sensibility and cultural programming.
Act as a key stakeholder in guest engagement visible approachable and invested in ensuring exceptional guest journeys.
Monitor operational performance through key metrics and guest feedback proactively addressing areas for improvement.
Drive operational excellence through innovation systems thinking and an unrelenting focus on team empowerment.
Ensure full compliance with health safety licensing brand standards and local regulations.
Support budgeting forecasting and P&L management to drive profitability across all operating departments.
Represent the General Manager in their absence ensuring continuity of leadership and decisionmaking.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 10 years of hospitality experience with at least 2 years in a Hotel Manager role within a luxury or lifestyle hotel.
Strong background in Food & Beverage operations is highly desired with the ability to lead and connect both pillars Rooms & Food & Beverage seamlessly.
Prior experience in a preopening environment is highly desirable.
Deep understanding of both front and backofhouse operations and how they interconnect to shape the guest experience.
Proven ability to lead large diverse teams with emotional intelligence structure and empathy.
Commercially minded with a strong grasp of financial management labour planning and operational KPIs.
Naturally guestfocused with a passion for creating memorable meaningful and personalised experiences.
Flexible energetic and collaborative you thrive in fastpaced environments and love building something from the ground up.
Familiarity with hospitality systems (e.g. Opera PMS POS financial software) is a plus.
Fluency in English is essential; additional languages particularly Arabic are a bonus.
Culturally curious and globally minded aligned with the Mondrian brands creative and cosmopolitan ethos.
