Job Description:
Our client a leader in global trade technology is currently looking for a Business Development Director to oversee the Middle East. The Business Development Director will be responsible for seeking new markets and business opportunities particularly focusing on largescale projects with government entities including Public Private Partnerships (PPPs). This role requires an individual with a proven track record in securing and managing significant government contracts within the last three years.
Responsibilities:
Market Development
- Seeks new market and business opportunities.
- Identifies potential partners and stakeholders.
- Conducts market research to understand market dynamics customer needs and competitive landscape.
Customer Relationship Management
- Builds and promotes strong longlasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Engages with highlevel clients and government officials to promote company products and services.
- Ensures customer satisfaction and addresses any concerns promptly and effectively.
Sales Strategy and
- Delivers highlevel presentations of the Company’s products to prospective clients.
- Prepares business cases supporting the financial viability of potential projects.
- Develops and implements effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales
- targets.
Proposal and Tender Management
- Prepares and coordinates responses to Requests for Public Private
- Partnerships projects.
- Prepares and coordinates the responses to tenders and bids.
- Follows up on discussions aiming to sign new contracts.
Contract Negotiation and Closure
- Leads negotiations with potential clients to secure contracts.
- Coordinates with legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.
- Manages the contract signing process and ensures all necessary documentation is completed.
Representation and Networking
- Represents the company in high level discussions with government authorities.
- Builds a network of industry contacts to stay informed of market trends and opportunities.
- Participates in events to promote the company's brand and products.
Team Leadership
- Sets up and coordinates a team of national and regional consultants who liaise with key incountry stakeholders and decision makers.
- Provides regular guidance to business partners in accordance with the formulated strategies.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Qualifications
- Proven experience in selling largescale projects to government entities including
- Public Private Partnerships with a value greater than 5 million USD per year within the last three years.
- Extensive knowledge of the region and its business environment.
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the designated region and internationally
