Graphic Designer

Our client who is a large group of companies based in Dubai is looking to hire a Graphic Designer for their fashion business.

The Graphic Designer job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. The one to shape the visual aspects of websites, books, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions, and flyers. To be successful in this position, you need to be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant ideas and showing amazing attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Establish creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines
• Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
• Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size, and style and submitting them for approval.
• Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as photoshop.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.
• Knowledge of creating tech and CAD files for garments
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.
• Performing retouching and manipulation of images
• To be able to make /create GIF’s, videos, melody creation draw new motifs, create multiple colorways of existing designs, and arrange layouts in the CAD (aka computer-aided design)
• Create tech packs with detailed specifications that include a printout of designs, a disc of artwork and repeats, size of repeats, material selection, special treatments, print techniques, color swatches, art placement or border selection, color tabs, etc.

Requirements

Ideal candidate for this role will have atleast 2 to 3 years experience within fashion / beauty sector in UAE along with the below requirements.

• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic and or Textile Design
• Must be familiar with screen printing/graphic treatment techniques and understand how graphic prints translate onto different products
• Knowledge of other textile software programs is a plus
• Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
• Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
• Typography knowledge
