Our client, a leading Rehabilitation Hospital is currently looking for a Senior Staff Nurse for Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will:
- Responsible and accountable for overall performance of the unit. Prepares and submit monthly reports to Clinical Coordinator / Acting Clinical Coordinator.
- Provides leadership, staff development, mentoring, resource management and team leadership in the daily nursing operations.
- Roster running staff, ensuring the hospital policies related to rostering, leave requests/ approval are adhered to, at all times considering ward / unit's service requirements.
- Ensures nursing clinical quality standards and practices are complied, maintained and evaluated when necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring that the nursing process of; diagnosis, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care is in collaboration with the family and is in accordance with the organizations policy and procedures and scope of service.
- Demonstrating accountability for own professional judgement, actions, outcomes of care and continued competence.
- Recognizing the boundaries of your scope of practice and limits of own competence.
- Under supervision and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team ensures that the provision of individualised care from point of first contact throughout the episode of care, incorporates the continuum of care and rehabilitation goals.
- Identifying significant changes/deterioration with patient conditions, initiates appropriate action within scope of practice and escalates concerns timely and appropriately.
- Taking all reasonable steps to protect children or adults who are vulnerable or at risk from harm, neglect or abuse and escalates concerns.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of resource consumption and practices within a cost effective framework.
- Works closely with families to ensure they are involved within all aspects of care where appropriate.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing
- Minimum 8 years post-graduation experience in large hospital or long term residential/community care (adult/paediatric).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in leadership role as Sr. Nurse, Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, Nursing Team Leader, Shift in charge etc.
- Wide background is preferred in general medical area and in rehabilitation Post stroke, TBI, Spinal cord injury, Road traffic accidents, neurological disorders, Parkinson, amputation
- A surgical area which included patient care of: Post op Total knee, hip replacements, neurosurgery, orthopedics
- Willing to be based in Abu Dhabi and can work in shifts.
