Note:This role will be initially based in Ras Al Khaimah however, will be later relocated to Sharjah.

Job Responsibilities:

– Oversees the shipping and delivery of materials within the country and coordinates closely with Admin and Sales, and Purchasing team (Imports and exports).

– Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.

– Up to date knowledge of road, toll, customs etc. rules and regulations related to deliveries and responsible for any shortfalls relating to the loaded deliveries and vehicles being used.

– Involved in managing the loading of trucks, setting up delivery routes and unloading of material and processing shipments.

– Liaising and negotiating with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, purchasing department, custom brokers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of merchandise.

– Schedule all shipments and deliveries i.e.: customers, inter-companies, suppliers, etc.

– Ensure all parties are working together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent and delivered in a timely manner, includes contacting various transportation companies to get shipping quotes and deciding on the best carriers based on cost, availability and reliability.

– Work closely with Production, Purchasing and Warehouse to ensure adequate stock inventory to prevent delays in order delivery. Work with Warehouse Supervisor to arrange warehouse, catalog goods.

– Generating reports (Excel sheets and ERP).

– Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to top management.

– Develop, articulate and maintain logistic process documentation.

– Ensure all supporting documents for imports/exports and deliveries are complete and in order in a timely manner according to the shipment schedule.

– Manage delivery drivers’ schedule and monitor and follow up with them to ensure on-time deliveries as well as the integrity of the delivered products.

– Responsible for the maintenance of all delivery vehicles in a timely manner, as well as any issues that may arise with the vehicles.

– Notify Superior as well as relevant sales personnel upon dispatch and delivery of shipments.

– Notify Supervisor as well as relevant sales personnel of any shipment delays including reason and supporting evidence, as well as any issues with the shipment including but not limited to damaged goods, customer failure to accept shipment, etc. including reason and supporting evidence.

– Resolve any conflicts that may arise with drivers/those reporting to him/her.

– Should there be a need for any disciplinary action, must obtain superior and management approval.

– Conduct periodic performance reviews for those reporting to him/her as per company policy.

Job Requirements:

– Must possess5-7 years of experience in the logistics field.

– Should have a university degree in Logistics.

– Minimum 2 years of experience in a logistics supervisor position.
