We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Shift Leader to join our team at Sofitel Dubai The Palm. As a Housekeeping Shift Leader you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our establishment.
- Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff during assigned shifts
- Coordinate daily cleaning activities and assign tasks to team members
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards
- Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Implement and maintain housekeeping policies and procedures
- Prepare shift reports and communicate effectively with management
- Promote a positive work environment and motivate team members
Qualifications :
- Minimum 23 years of experience in housekeeping preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in housekeeping
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management certification preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Problemsolving skills and ability to make quick decisions
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning techniques products and equipment
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices
- Basic computer skills for managing reports and inventory
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to perform housekeeping duties and lead by example
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
