Foreground is partnering with a specialty coffee house in Sharjah that is redefining the caf experience with highquality coffee and an artisanal approach to food. As part of their growth they are looking for an experienced Pastry & International Cuisine Chef to curate a unique menu that complements their specialty coffee offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a highquality menu featuring pastries and international cuisine that enhances the cafs coffee experience.
- Introduce seasonal and trenddriven items ensuring a fresh and dynamic menu.
- Ensure consistency in flavor presentation and quality across all offerings.
- Oversee food preparation ensuring compliance with UAE food safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage kitchen operations optimize workflows and maintain cost control.
- Lead train and mentor the kitchen team to uphold high standards of execution.
- Source premium ingredients manage inventory and collaborate with suppliers.
- Stay updated on international culinary trends and integrate them into the menu.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef with expertise in international cuisine preferably in a highend caf or restaurant.
- Strong understanding of flavor pairing and menu development that aligns with specialty coffee.
- Creative and detailoriented approach to food presentation and quality.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with HACCP standards and UAE food safety regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment while maintaining consistency and excellence.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
