- Position: Procurement Engineer
- Full Time
- Joining date: Immediately is priority
- Work location: Abu Dhabi
- Salary:AED
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction and a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures. The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for sourcing negotiating and purchasing materials equipment and services for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source reliable suppliers for construction materials equipment and services
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms
- Prepare and issue purchase orders for approved materials and services
- Monitor and track the delivery of materials and services to ensure timely arrival to project sites
- Review and analyze supplier performance to ensure quality and costeffectiveness
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in procurement operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement preferably in the construction industry ( building road and infrastructure )
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of local and international procurement laws and regulations
- Fluency in English both written and verbal
- Arabic speaking is a plus
- UAE driving license is preferred
