We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join as a Hong Kong & China Equity Markets Business Development professional focusing on the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) or ASEAN (ociation of Southeast Asian Nations) regions. In this role you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our clients presence.

Job location will be based in Singapore/Hong Kong.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Market ysis: Conduct thorough market research and ysis to identify business opportunities market trends and potential clients within the GCC or ASEAN regions. Stay updated on economic political and regulatory developments that may impact the banking industry.
  • Hong Kong/China Equity Market Business Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the GCC or ASEAN regions aligned with the firms overall goals and objectives. Identify target segments ess market potential and outline strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing client relationships.
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Actively engage with potential clients including corporates financial institutions and government entities to identify their banking needs and offer tailored solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Product and Service Promotion: Collaborate with internal teams such as product development and marketing to promote the banks products and services to clients in the GCC or ASEAN regions. Conduct presentations organize events and participate in industry conferences to enhance the banks visibility and generate leads.
  • CrossSelling and Revenue Generation: Identify opportunities to crosssell additional banking products and services to existing clients maximizing revenue potential. Work closely with relationship managers and product specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet client requirements and drive business growth.
  • Risk essment and Compliance: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential clients ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the banks risk management policies. Collaborate with the compliance and legal teams to navigate regulatory frameworks and maintain a strong culture of compliance.
  • Reporting and Performance Tracking: Prepare regular reports including market updates client pipelines and revenue forecasts to senior management. Monitor and track key performance indicators providing insights and recommendations to enhance business development strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance Economics or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development relationship management or sales roles within the banking or financial services industry with a focus on the GCC or ASEAN regions.
  • Strong understanding of the banking industry products and services particularly in Hong Kong/China equity markets.
  • Excellent knowledge of the GCC or ASEAN markets including cultural nuances business practices and regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and convert business opportunities build and maintain client relationships and achieve revenue targets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication ss with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • ytical mindset with strong problemsolving capabilities. Proficiency in market research and ysis.
  • Selfdriven resultsoriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required. Knowledge of Arabic or regional languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within the GCC or ASEAN regions as required.
