Responsibilities
• Explains the test procedure to the patient to obtain the patient s cooperation necessary for a complete examination.
• Measures and accurately applies electrodes in a timely manner, according to the International 10-20 System. Ensure that electrode impedance meets laboratory standards.
• Performs EEG records according to the standards and protocols of the laboratory (routine, sleep, and bedside).
• Performs long-term video monitoring EEG in the epilepsy monitoring unit
• Implements alternative methods or adjusts controls of the machine to obtain the optimal recording.
• Distinguishes between normal and abnormal test results describes and annotates all manifestations and changes observed during tests.
