What You Will Be Doing
- Provide and maintain outstanding guest service in a unique, guest focused environment
- Monitor maintenance of the physical Fairmont Gold product, preparing and maintaining food offerings and the Fairmont Gold honour bar
- Organizing, cleaning and maintaining the Fairmont Gold pantry
- Ordering food and beverage inventory, controlling inventory of food and beverage supplies
- Work closely with the Kitchen and In Room Dining to ensure the highest level of food quality and selection is maintained
- Arriving guestroom warming as per Fairmont Gold standards
- Provide exceptional information to our guests about Vancouver area attractions, restaurants, theatres, special events and other available services
- Maintain effective communication with all other departments to ensure the expectations of our Fairmont Gold guests are consistently exceeded
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Service focused personality is essential with excellent guest service and team skills
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts, split shifts and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have the ability to work in an unsupervised environment while maintaining standards
- Previous food handling and guest service experience is required
- Completion of Food Safe certification and Serving It Right certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Excellent knowledge of Vancouver restaurants, attractions, and services is a definite asset
- Post-secondary education in Hotel Management an asset
- Ability to speak another language fluently an asset
