Job Description
All occasions call for great food! As a Junior Sous Chef, you will help lead and support a team of culinary professionals in creating spectacular dishes that will create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensure consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards
- Actively participate with menu planning, inventory & management of supplies.
- Lead, mentor and train the culinary & stewarding team, creating an engaged work environment.
- Responsible for daily operation of entire culinary department, ensuring high quality standards are maintained.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Service focused personality is essential and previous supervisory experience in a luxury hotel environment preferred
- Well-rounded experience in all areas of the culinary field
- Work well under pressure and be able to think on your feet
- Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
