Job Description: We are seeking an experienced HR and Talent Acquisition Manager with 10 years of experience to lead our human resources department focusing on recruiting top talent in the shipping/commodity trading industry and fostering a vibrant company culture.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective hiring strategies that align with our business goals especially within the shipping and commodity trading sectors across various geographies.
  
• Manage the complete recruitment process from candidate sourcing to selection.
  
• Optimize and standardise internal company policies and employee management systems.
  
• Create and maintain a positive work environment emphasising teamwork and open communication.

• Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
  
• Lead initiatives for employee development including training and career growth opportunities.
  
• Address and resolve employee relations issues ensuring a harmonious work environment.
  
• Participate in strategic planning with senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  
• Oversee employee benefits programs ensuring they are competitive and meet the needs of our diverse workforce.
  
• Conduct performance management and provide feedback to employees and management.
  
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive personnel records.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field. Master s degree preferred.
  
• Proven experience as an HR Manager ideally in the shipping chartering or maritime industry.
  
• Strong understanding of the shipping industry and its operational challenges.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.
  
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  
• Experience in conflict resolution disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
  
• Proficiency in HR software and tools.
  
• Certification in HR (e.g. PHR SPHR SHRMCP SHRMSCP) is a plus.
