Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (FinTech/SaaS)

Our client is a leading software expert in South Africas payment and transaction processing and management industry. Their cloud-based processing technology is used by/integrated into SAs biggest Banks, Retailers and MNOs and has impacted the lives of many South Africans. Requirements

• Bachelors degree majoring in accounting, (data analytics or similar)
  
• 3 years experience in financial analysis
  
• Attention to detail
  
• Deadline driven
  
• Understanding of SME transactions and flows
  
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation software
  
• Ability to work with a team (to meet shared goals)
  
• Ability to work independently and handle changing needs
  
• Good verbal and written communication
  
• Prioritise and plan work activities effectively
  
• Strong organisational skills
  
• Familiarity with Google suite, Xero, SimplePay would be advantageous
  

Responsibilities:

• Developing, analysing, and interpreting financial and operating results and information
  
• Improve forecast accuracy and visibility
  
• Work closely with management and ascertain areas of concern by analysing data from various source systems and provide insights on areas of concern
  
• Identify shortcomings in financial systems structures and master data as well as inaccuracies in the financial data for clean up by various divisions of the group
  
• Participate in the preparation and review of annual budgets as well as the maintenance of rolling annual forecast to ensure financial goals are met
  
• Build standard templates / models for standardised and on-going reporting
  
• Prepare monthly management reporting for the various managers
  
• Summarise large data loads into significant reports
  
• Some controller duties, including planning, directing and coordinating accounting operational functions to ensure financial data is available for analysis
