Scope of Work Data Modeler and Data Architect

These services are required to support the goals of business and operations transformation, and end-to-end delivery of data modeling and data architecture activities.

The scope of the Data Modeling and Data architect should cover the following responsibilities but not limited to it:

• Work with multiple stakeholders in the organization to gather requirements for the database design and model
  
• Creating conceptual, logical, and dimensional models and the supporting intellectual property
  
• Supporting Information Analysts in exposing actionable insights
  
• Supporting Data Assurance Analysts with business rules and metadata
  
• Promoting data literacy and utilization across the organization
  
• Working with industry partner organizations on standards and other collaborative initiatives
  
• Build the Enterprise data model at conceptual level
  
• Understand the data needs of the company or client
  
• Support the models with artifacts such as business glossary and data dictionary entries.
  
• Collaborate with the development teams to conform, design and build the database model
  
• Engage the development team to implement the database. Be the focal point of contact to maintain an enterprise data model repository
  
• Adjust access to the data and the reports as needed
  
• Work closely with the development team to implement data warehouse and reporting
  
• Understand the company s data migration needs
  
• Work with the development team to implement data migrations
  
• Work with data scientists to determine metadata querying requirements. Work collaboratively within Business Intelligence and Analytics department to enable and drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization
  
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications Requirement:

• Bachelor Degree Holders: 4+ years of experience as data modeler
  
• Knowledge of relational databases and data architecture computer systems, including SQL
  
• Familiarity with or a bachelor s degree in computer science, data science, information technology, or data modeling
  
• Knowledge of ER modeling, big data, enterprise data, and physical data models
  
• Extensive experience of Data modelling at all phases from context, through conceptual models to logical models and will be a skilled user of an advanced modelling tool such as Erwin Data Modeler
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  
• Knowledge and understanding of advanced dimensional and relational modelling best practices
  
• Good understanding of broader data governance and management frameworks and practice
  
• Experience in SQL databases and database querying languages preferred
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent presentation and organizational skills
  
• Appreciation of the fundamental business value of data and information
  
• The ability to present data concepts in business terms
  
• Business analysis skills and experience
  
• Stakeholder management skills and experience
