• Support the maintenance and development of competency frameworks for all DDW Trades.
• Lead the assessment efforts within DDW, both to perform trades assessments and to support other assessors in their tasks and grade candidates in accordance with agreed skills matrices.
• Fully support DDW recruitment activities ensuring full compliance with DDW employment ethics and codes of practice.
• Support the maintenance and development of competency frameworks for the promotion of trades employees into supervisory positions and to more senior supervisory roles.
• Developing and maintaining courses and technical content to suit such promotional activities and providing independent feedback to yard managers on individuals’ progress and potential for promotion.
• Support employee skills development through assessment/training in the DDW training center and workshops.
• Contribute to the Internal Verification processes of recruitment and ongoing development of competence
• Keep accurate records.
• Follow all agreed Quality Assurance and Risk Management Systems operating in DDW and contribute generally to the establishment and development of a quality provision/service.
• Promote a culture of innovation, excellence and equality.
