Job Title: Treasury Leader Structured Finance (Agri Commodities)
Dubai
Location: Dubai with flexibility to travel to Nigeria/south africa and other locations whenever the need arises.
Company Overview: Our client is a leading global agricommodity organization with a strong presence in Africa. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Treasury Leader to manage structured finance operations focusing on Nigeria Origination and Distribution.
Position Summary: The Treasury Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing structured finance solutions for the companys agricultural commodity business in Nigeria. This role will oversee the origination and distribution of financial products manage risk and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structured Finance:
- Design and implement innovative structured finance solutions for agricommodity transactions
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks financial institutions and other funding partners
- Negotiate and structure complex financial deals to support business growth
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify new financing opportunities
- Origination and Distribution:
- Lead the origination of new business opportunities in the Nigerian market
- Develop and execute distribution strategies for agricultural commodities
- Collaborate with local teams to understand market dynamics and customer needs
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with commodity transactions in Nigeria
- Treasury Management:
- Oversee cash flow management and forecasting for Nigerian operations
- Manage foreign exchange exposure and hedging strategies
- Optimize working capital and ensure efficient use of financial resources
- Implement and maintain treasury management systems and processes
- Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies for commodity trading and financing
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to maintain robust control environments
- Other duties
- Liaise with senior management providing regular updates on treasury activities and performance
- Collaborate with other departments including sales trading and operations
- Represent the company in industry forums and events
Education Experience and Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics or related field; CA or MBA or relevant masters degree preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in treasury structured finance or commodity trading
- Proven track record in managing structured finance transactions in emerging markets
- Experience in agricultural commodities trading or financing preferred
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian financial market and regulatory environment
- Skills:
- Expert knowledge of financial instruments derivatives and risk management techniques
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent negotiation and relationshipbuilding abilities
- Fluency in English;
- Proficiency in financial modeling and treasury management systems

- Ability to work in a fastpaced multicultural environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel frequently within Nigeria and occasionally to other locations
