Senior Development Chemist

Description:

Some of what you could expect in your day to day activities:

• Work to help improve existing coatings.
• QC incoming raw and finish goods.
• Assist Chemist in the development of new coating technology and test coating properties.
• R&D Projects:
  • Scheduling and prioritizing assigned projects.
  • Progress reporting to the R&D Director.
  • Capable of designing, performing and summarizing of experiments.
  • Capable of testing developed products, both application and performance.
  • Capable of maintaining detailed records in the lab notebook.
• Quality Control:
  • Capability for setting QC standards if required.
  • Capable of recordkeeping and reporting of QC data and maintenance of samples.
• Manufacturing:
  • Capable of producing formulas for manufacturing, if required.
  • Capable of recordkeeping regarding formulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree. (BS Degree preferred).
• Internship or Co-op experience preferred.
• Must be a self-starter, work well with minimal supervision.
• Must have knowledge of common laboratory concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Experience in formulation is preferred.
