Child Life Therapist

• Provide counseling and psychosocial support to patients and families dealing with medical emotional and social challenges.
  
• Assess patients social emotional and financial needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  
• Act as a liaison between patients families healthcare providers and community resources.
  
• Support families in coping with long-term illnesses rehabilitation and end-of-life care.
  
• Assist in discharge planning and coordinate post-hospitalization services.
  
• Advocate for patients rights ensuring they receive adequate support and resources.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments interventions and referrals.
  
• Conduct awareness and educational sessions as part of holistic healthcare delivery.
  
• Adhere to ethical standards confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at all times.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Child Life Psychology Counseling or related field.
  
• Certification as a Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  
• Valid UAE healthcare professional license or eligibility to obtain one.
  
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a pediatric hospital or clinical setting.
  
• Strong understanding of child development and pediatric psychosocial care.
  
• Excellent communication counseling and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to provide compassionate culturally sensitive care to children and families.
