We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing all designs and drawings related to the electrical infrastructure of the metro rail construction including metro stations depots ancillary facilities and any related metro rail infrastructure. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards codes and regulations and providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate will represent as PMC as client representative.
Responsibilities:
Review and approve electrical designs and drawings submitted by D&B contractors ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
Ensure all electrical systems and components comply with relevant codes standards and regulations.
Conduct regular and timely technical reviews of electrical engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants/contractors.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers software developers project managers and technicians to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
Represent the company in client meetings and design workshops managing stakeholders expectations and delivering project outputs.
Address technical queries and raise appropriate deviations when necessary.
As/if required provide technical support during installation precommissioning and commissioning phases to ensure quality and accuracy of contractors work and compliance with project specifications.
As required manage any feasibility studies and preparation of detailed technical specifications for electrical systems and components.
Manage and report progress of all electrical engineering and design budgets in line with contract requirements.
Direct the development and review and approval of electrical systems specifically technical drawings audit and evaluation of shop drawings and of material submittals.
Identify and mitigate electrical risks providing advice on potential opportunities and threats.
Work closely with the required departments to ensure compliance with any legal financial and corporate protocols.
Prepare and deliver presentations as required.
Drive progression via coordination meetings with all stakeholders as required.
Liaise as required with external consultants contractors and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with client requirements.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians fostering their professional growth.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends technologies and regulatory requirements to ensure our projects remain competitive and compliant.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus but not essential.
Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent are highly desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering preferably in largescale infrastructure or transportation projects.
Indepth knowledge of industry codes and standards and specific to the region.
Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple mechanical aspects and stakeholders effectively.
Knowledge of AutoCAD/BIM will be essential.
Experience working in relevant projects in Dubai and surroundings will be a strict requirement.
Preferred Skills:
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate mechanical risks specific to largescale infrastructure projects.
High level of attention to detail ensuring accuracy in mechanical assessments and validations.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team in a highpressure environment.
Experience in managing complex projects with the ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex mechanical information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in mechanical engineering software and tools as well as a strong understanding of engineering and construction processes.
Familiarity with sustainability and energyefficient system designs (e.g. LEED certification).
