Post-Doctoral Associate in the Center for Translational Medical Devices - Dr Rafael Song

The Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED) at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a postdoctoral associate to join this new initiative focus on designing and developing novel medical devices for ultimate human use. The successful applicant will join several fascinating projects on engineering novel approaches to improve the diagnosis and therapy of metabolic cardiovascular and neurologic disease. These projects entail computational modeling device design and manufacturing optimization of chemical mechanical and electrical characteristics and preclinical experiments. CENTMED offers multidisciplinary training with a high degree of academic freedom among various highimpact translational projects. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhDlevel scientists graduate students and undergraduate students ensuring the candidate learns valuable skills in writing manuscripts and grant proposals advising fellow researchers and establishing collaborations across disciplines.

Applicant must have a PhD in an engineering or biomedicalrelated field. Excellent skills relevant to the cardiovascular project (design and development of cardiovascular medical devices noninvasive imaging modalities such as echocardiography and computational flow simulation software) are required.
