System Architect

• Identify appropriate technologies for the needed solutions
• Create and implement cost-effective system architectural roadmap to be in line with Fintech Galaxy’s business objectives
• Contribute to the creation of needed technical documentation that accurately describes project technical requirements and specifications for delivery
• Design and develop basic frameworks to use for the various sub-systems
• Add, review, and ensure traceability to system requirements
• Work with stakeholder to ensure feasibility of allocations and design work
• Create rapid prototypes to prove ideas and concepts
• Provide project guidance and coordination to complete projects on-time and within budget constraints
• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for integrations and outcomes
• Build, test, improve, deploy, and integrate software applications and solutions
• Support work products and initiatives from functional safety, cybersecurity, quality, and other cross-cutting disciplines
• Support the preparation of System Test in all its aspects, including load testing, regression, stress tests, and support notions of Test Driven Development
• Support the creation of appropriate pipelines for CI/CD – ensure adoption at all levels
• Deconstruct complex technical structures to perform root cause analysis in troubleshooting application and integrations issues
• Provide training, mentorship, and assistance to new team members on the technology side

Skills

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, MS preferred

An Agile/Scrum Certificate is an added value, as well as certifications in cloud based technologies

Preferred Skills, Experience and Competencies

• 10+ years of experience in a system architecture role focused on software applications
• Experience working with application development frameworks: Java / C# / Grails/ Python / Scala
• Must have architected solutions on AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud – certified Architect is a plus
• Previous experience in database applications i.e.: Oracle / PLSQL, Postgres, MongoDB
• Previous experience in web service development and integration patterns using REST or SOAP, JMS messaging, Request/Reply and Pub/Sub models.
• Hands-on experience in Agile Methodology
• Good self-management and organizational skills; able to work with minimal guidance
• Ability to lead small teams of technical staff as needed
• Fluency in English is a must
• A Banking or Financial background is an added value
• Ability to work remotely in a team environment
