We are seeking a professional and responsible Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a Heavy Vehicle Driver you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining large commercial vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods or materials
- Plan and optimize routes for timely deliveries
- Perform pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours deliveries and vehicle conditions
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo
- Adhere to all traffic laws safety regulations and company policies
- Report any accidents injuries or vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers customers and team members
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Stay informed about local traffic patterns and road conditions in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas
Qualifications :
- Valid heavy vehicle drivers license
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Minimum of 5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Proficiency in operating various types of heavy vehicles
- Strong understanding of safe driving techniques and defensive driving
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills
- Excellent time management and route planning abilities
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Physical ability to load and unload cargo when necessary
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas
- Defensive driving certification (preferred)
- Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
