The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and enforcing health safety and environmental policies in the workplace ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards to create a safe and hazardfree work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations company policies and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments safety inspections and audits at worksites.
- Develop implement and monitor safety procedures and training programs.
- Investigate and report accidents incidents and nearmisses recommending preventive measures.
- Promote a strong safety culture by leading toolbox talks safety meetings and awareness campaigns.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain HSE documentation including permits reports and safety records.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and participate in HSE audits and inspections.
- Assist in emergency response planning drills and training programs.
- Provide HSE reports and updates to management.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or a related field.
- Certifications: NEBOSH IGC IOSH OSHA or equivalent (mandatory).
- Experience: 35 years of experience in HSE roles (preferably in Construction/Oil & Gas/Manufacturing etc.).
- Knowledge of HSE standards (OSHA ISO 45001 ISO 14001 local labor laws).
- Strong communication reporting and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to conduct safety training sessions and risk assessments.
- UAE/GCC experience and a valid driving license (if applicable) are preferred.
