Key Responsibilities:
Cash Handling and Transactions:
Operate the cash register or POS system efficiently and accurately.
Process cash credit card and digital payments.
Ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
Customer Service:
Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
Assist customers with inquiries about products prices or promotions.
Resolve minor customer complaints or escalate to the supervisor when necessary.
Product Knowledge and Assistance:
Stay informed about ongoing sales promotions and discounts.
Provide information about product availability and features.
Cash Register Maintenance:
Keep the cash register area clean and organized.
Reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
Report any discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
Inventory and Stock Support:
Assist in stocking shelves and arranging displays when the cash register is not busy.
Monitor product levels and inform the manager about restocking needs.
Compliance and Security:
Adhere to store policies procedures and cash handling guidelines.
Prevent and report any fraudulent activities or theft.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred.
Skills:
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in operating a POS system or willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
