The Sales Manager (Pakistan) is an integral and important part of Smiths Detection (M.E.) FZE (SDME) carrying the overall sales responsibilities for specific market verticals in Pakistan. This position is an individual contributor role and will assume responsibility for the sales of Smiths Detections range of security screening systems for specific market verticals in Pakistan. Additional responsibilities include all aspects of the sales process.
- Ensure the Smiths Code of Corporate Responsibility and Business Ethics is upheld in all activities
- Close new business with new and existing customers
- To meet or exceed the Sales quota assigned for the territory
- Create Sales Plan for the assigned market vertical. The plan will contain both qualitative and quantitative information and provide the Director Sales with the required information to capture all available Sales opportunities in the territory. The Sales Plan will be updated annually and executed throughout the year
- Proactive understanding of the market and business drivers and provide strategic inputs (both qualitative and quantitative) to the Director Sales and active involvement in the setting up of the yearly sales budgets
- Ownership of reporting the sales numbers and ensuring the accuracy of the sales data in SAP for the assigned market vertical. Ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Drive exploration of new opportunities and tap profitable business opportunities resulting in New Customer Acquisition
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction and Key Client Retention
- Proactive coordination within all the departments of the organization to ensure smooth flow of business
- Work closely with the Programs team for smooth and profitable completion of projects
- All aspects of the sales process including but not limited to:
- Prospecting and identification of potential customers
- Creating/managing existing/new customer relationships
- Arranging and conducting product demonstrations
- Participating in trade exhibitions/conferences
- Creating quotations to customers/prospects
- Contributing to major proposals for the territory
- Participate in product/sales skills training as required
- Participate/contribute to internal sales meetings
- Comply with Company health safety and environmental policies
- Comply with the company compliance and business ethics policy
- Comply with all applicable export/import control and security regulations
- Any other tasks assigned by the Director Sales to this role from time and time and not covered above
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree required. Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience and demonstrable success in Sales/Marketing or Business Development selling capital intensive technology products/solutions preferably aviation securityrelated systems.
- Exposure in selling to customers in market segments such as Ports & Borders Urban Security and Defence.
- Experience within a process driven and disciplined sales organization.
- Selfmotivated and proactive approach to managing a Sales territory
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with customers/partners/prospects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to present information in front of a large group Urdu language mandatory
- Must be decisive driven and conscientious and interact well in a team environment
- Possess excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask and manage a wide range of activities
- Selfmotivated and proactive approach to managing a Sales territory
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with customers/partners/prospects
- Strong customer service skills including phone etiquette and the ability to handle stressful situations when working under pressure and strict deadlines.

- The ability to make good judgments by thinking quickly and broadly.

- Will be required to travel on average 25% of the month

- Individuals primary workstation may be in an office setting or at home office. Individual will travel frequently to Pakistan and work at Partner customer and/or prospects office or at trade shows
