Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Project Coordinator to join our engineering team. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various engineering projects ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have 45 years of experience in project coordination within the engineering industry and a strong understanding of project management principles.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee engineering projects from initiation to completion
- Develop project plans including scope budget and timeline
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure project success
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
- 45 years of experience in project coordination within the engineering industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- PMP certification is a plus
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models, Piping Isometrics, GA drawings, and Piping Layouts. In-depth knowledge of Piping BOM, MTO, and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
Education
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (BE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design stream.
