Math Teacher

International Community Schools Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate dedicated and dynamic Math Teacher to join our innovative and collaborative faculty. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan prepare and deliver wellstructured engaging and challenging lessons across various grade levels (Primary/Secondary) that align with the school s curriculum and national/international standards including the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
  
• Use diverse teaching methods and resources including interactive technology to cater to different learning styles and foster a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
  
• Develop creative lesson plans that challenge students to apply mathematical reasoning to realworld problems and encourage independent thinking.
  
• Regularly assess student performance through formative and summative assessments including tests quizzes projects and oral presentations.
  
• Provide constructive and timely feedback to students on their academic progress and areas for improvement.
  
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for student success.
  
• Differentiate instruction and learning materials to accommodate students of varying academic abilities ensuring each student can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  
• Provide additional support and enrichment for students who require further assistance or challenge including differentiated homework group work and oneonone tutoring sessions.
  
• Create and maintain a positive safe and respectful classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate take risks and make mistakes.
  
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a focused and disciplined learning environment.
  
• Foster a growth mindset by encouraging students to approach challenges with resilience and perseverance.
  
• Actively participate in team meetings departmental discussions and schoolwide initiatives to enhance the overall quality of education.
  
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Mathematics Department and across other disciplines to plan interdisciplinary lessons and projects that promote the application of mathematical concepts in various contexts.
  
• Participate in ongoing professional development attending workshops conferences and seminars to keep up to date with the latest teaching methodologies educational technologies and curriculum developments.
  
• Contribute to the wider school community by taking part in extracurricular activities such as Math clubs competitions and other school events that promote a love for mathematics.
  
• Support schoolwide initiatives including open houses parentteacher conferences and school fairs helping to foster strong relationships with parents and the wider school community.
  

Skills:

• Indepth understanding of mathematical concepts across various topics (e.g. Algebra Geometry Calculus Statistics).
  
• Ability to teach Mathematics at various levels (Primary Secondary) with a focus on conceptual understanding and application.
  
• Familiarity with international curricula such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
  
• Ability to design plan and implement lessons that meet curriculum standards while being engaging and challenging.
  
• Ability to deliver clear effective and engaging lessons that accommodate different learning styles.
  
• Expertise in creating differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners from those who need additional support to those who require enrichment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
  
• A Bachelor s degree in Mathematics Education or a related field (Master s degree in Mathematics Education or a relevant area preferred).
  
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE teaching diploma or equivalent certification).
  
• Experience:
  
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary school level particularly within international curricula such as IB or Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
  
• Experience in planning and delivering differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  
• Demonstrated ability to inspire students in mathematics and to convey complex mathematical ideas in an accessible and engaging manner.
