JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) for plumbing systems across residential commercial and industrial projects.
- Collaborate with design consultants architects and engineering teams to integrate plumbing systems within overall project designs.
- Create review and adjust detailed plumbing BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare and present 3D plumbing designs and visualizations to communicate technical aspects effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular reviews of BIM models ensuring design feasibility and consistency with project timelines and budget constraints.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in BIM technology software updates and best practices for efficient plumbing design.
- Mentor and support junior BIM modelers and drafters providing guidance on modeling standards best practices and project workflows.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field with a focus on plumbing design.
- 5 years of experience in plumbing design and BIM modeling preferably within a design consultancy environment.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit AutoCAD MEP and Navisworks.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes regulations and best practices.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and systems (LEED or other green building certifications is a plus).
