The RoleThey are seeking an exceptional compliance expert with extensive experience in restructuring and leading multinational compliance teams in the financial markets sector. This key role involves steering the firm's global compliance vision, strategy, and programs, ensuring strict adherence to multi-jurisdictional regulations while promoting a commercially viable compliance mindset.Strategic Leadership: Lead the restructuring and continual enhancement of the company's global compliance department to meet evolving business and regulatory needs.Reporting and Communication: Regularly update the General Counsel on critical compliance matters, developments, and strategic insights, ensuring timely escalation of urgent issues. (UK & DIFC/ADGM)Regulatory Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with global regulators, representing the firm's compliance strategies and upholding the company's commercial perspective.Commercial Acumen: Develop a compliance framework that aligns with business objectives, balancing commercial success with regulatory adherence.Team Management: Lead and mentor a diverse compliance team across multiple countries, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement.Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments, audits, and investigations, ensuring effective oversight, timely resolution, and accurate reporting of compliance issues.Problem Solving: Provide commercially sound solutions within complex, overlapping regulatory environments. The CandidateBachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., JD, MBA) are preferred.Extensive experience in financial markets, with a strong background in international trading compliance is a MUST.Proven experience in managing, restructuring, and leading global compliance teams.Superior organizational, strategic planning, and communication skills.
