- Radio Operator will be responsible attending Radio calls and appropriately passing messages received to enable desired action.
- Responsible for reporting weather conditions to the offshore sites in order to facilitate real time weather updates.
- Answer all telephone calls after office working hours in order to facilitate ongoing communication and effective response to the callers
- Follow the emergency notification procedure to report any emergency occurrences in order to facilitate real time reporting requirement and prompt damage control actions
- Report the schedule of supply vessels dispatched to & from off shore sites in order to update the concerned staff/departments
- Collect weather update reports twice a day from the offshore sites and forward to concerned government authorities in order to comply with the legislative requirements
- Review and identify the internationals calls bills for the international calls dialled from the central reception and notify to the concerned staff for appropriate deduction of personal calls.
- Monitor and report anomalies the function of radio handsets and systems to ensure smooth radio operations
Requirements
Secondary school with 35 years of relevant experience or High school with 12 years of relevant experience
* Must have valid license for radio operations
* Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills in English
* Arabic language (speak & understand) added advantage
