Class Teacher

International Community Schools Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating a stimulating and intellectually challenging environment for students from FS/KG to Year 13/Grade 12 fostering innovative thinking creative problemsolving and inspired learning.

• Lesson Planning: Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the schools curriculum standards ensuring the incorporation of various instructional strategies to cater to different learning styles.
  
• Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to reach their academic potential. Use technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience.
  
• Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying needs ensuring all students can access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  
• Assessment: Design and administer a variety of assessments (formative and summative) to evaluate student learning progress and understanding. Use assessment data to inform instruction.
  

• Feedback: Provide timely constructive feedback to students and parents highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. Encourage a growth mindset in students.
  
• Individual Support: Identify and support students with special educational needs or those requiring additional help. Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as needed.
  

• Environment: Establish a positive respectful and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and wellbeing.
  
• Behavior Management: Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and productive learning environment. Address behavioral issues promptly and fairly.
  

• Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by the school. Stay updated with the latest educational research and best practices.
  
• Collaboration: Work with colleagues to share teaching strategies resources and ideas. Participate in professional learning communities and staff meetings.
  

• Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians through meetings emails and reports. Involve them in their childs education and address any concerns.
  
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers support staff and administration to develop and implement school initiatives and programs.
  

• Activities and Clubs: Lead or participate in extracurricular activities clubs or sports teams to provide students with opportunities for growth beyond the classroom.
  
• School Events: Support and participate in schoolwide events celebrations and initiatives. Foster a sense of community within the school.
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Education or a relevant subject area. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  
• Certification: Valid teaching certification or qualification recognized in the UAE.
  
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience preferably in an international or diverse educational setting.
  
• Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of different curriculum frameworks (British American IB AP MOE).
  
• Skills: Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.
