Data Analyst

Job Purpose

The analyst will fulfill standard data requests including: data validation, data quality reporting, data cleanup, data architecture, and facilitating data process improvements. The analyst may also build and/or maintain dashboards & data visualizations in support of business needs. In addition, the analyst will drive and maintain the data quality process between database sources and the CRM to ensure alignment and synchronization.

Duties And Responsibilities

We are looking for a results-oriented Data analyst to own, define, build and maintain reporting processes and/or dashboards that will measure the success and drive the day-to-day behavior of the business. In this role, you will work with database server(s), flat files, and CRM data. Your role requires:

• Solving key business problems through using appropriate mix of strategic thinking and computational methods using Excel, and other tools available at your disposal
• Build and maintain reports and/or dashboards from scratch as well as repair / enhance existing ones, utilizing Excel and other available technologies
• Oversee and provide support for data validation/data quality checks and work through the resolution of any issues found
• Track and maintain datasets for consolidation and reporting purposes; strategize on data retention processes to optimize storage and performance of dashboards, templates, and report files, and document processes/track errors accordingly
• Provide actionable insights to inform decisions and strategies through visualizations (enable cross function/geographical visibility for business metrics across multiple business lines, show trends, correlation etc.)
• Provide timely ad-hoc analysis and support for escalations, trending metrics, etc. as soon as the need arises.
• Develop and uphold best practices with respect to change management, documentation and data protocols
• Perform and drive internal analytics to continuously refine how we operate.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Economics or other related technical field
• At least 2-3 years experience or more in data-centric roles, with strong working knowledge in Excel. Background in SQL, Tableau, and Alteryx is an advantage
• Proficiency in Excel Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, VBA Macro etc.
• Consciously adopts best practices and applies performance tuning
• Strong problem solver, able to investigate and resolve issues independently
• Analytical and independent problem solver. Meticulous with high attention to detail
• Strong communicator with ability to talk through data/technical details and business/layperson details
