Systems Engineer

Job Description

As a Systems Engineer, you will lead and participate in a variety of tasks related to Satellite Systems. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining system requirements from the mission level down to major subsystems, conducting mission design trade-off studies, and developing performance budgets and design reports. You will support mission development and analysis, develop and maintain Interface Control Documents, and review subcontractor design materials for compliance. Additionally, you will engage in satellite modeling using an MBSE approach, develop test procedures, oversee their execution, and verify and validate activities for the overall mission. Your role will also involve participating in all program reviews, supporting satellite assembly integration and testing, attending test reviews, and supporting in-orbit tests. Writing satellite procedures and operations manuals will also be part of your duties.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a relevant field
• Experience with LEO/MEO satellites and sub-systems
• Understanding of space environment and orbit mechanics
• Aerospace systems and engineering fundamentals
• Testing of satellite subsystems
• RF systems testing
• Qualification and acceptance testing of new designs
• Use of models and simulation software
