Your Responsibilities
- Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities, reporting unsafe practices and incidents, leading HSE activities at site, interacting with customers, contractors, suppliers, actively participating project meetings and resolving any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work and projects according to customer order and expectation, clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility
- Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experiences and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations, coordinating and resolving high level technical issues/questions and providing advice and recommendations both internally and to customers within own area of expertise
- Working with customer identifying opportunities in the installed base improving system performance and operational performance improvements
- Planning and preparing site work for larger project team and managing related subcontractors at site, performing complex field service tasks, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform
- Providing and creating a team approach to service related activities and offering customers a complete lifecycle approach to product implementation, supporting and ultimate system upgrades and/or evolution, coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities
- Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities, reviewing all project documents for conformity, safety and quality assurance, supporting project Manager in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.)
- Proactively planning and executing work on a first-time right approach with customers and ensuring the job is done on time and on quality, preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative, utilizing all relevant tools, reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed
Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Overall automation systems understanding, combined with process knowledge in Oil & Gas
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role and experience in the automation area
- Knowledge of ABB systems eg: Infi90, 800xA, Symphony Plus (S+)
- Knowledge of industrial cyber security and networking solutions for ABB systems
- Experience with Onshore and Offshore Oil and Gas customer especially ADNOC and GCC customers
- Customer interpersonal skills, communication skills and problem solving
- Fluency in English language is mandatory
