Head of Accounting

A global financial services institution is looking for a Head of Accounting. The selected candidate will oversee book closing, general ledger maintenance, and statutory report preparation while leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly or annual book closing and maintain daily general ledger
• Supervise preparation of statutory and audit reports
• Ensure month-end reconciliation and adjustments with the team
• Validate and calculate Transfer Pricing accurately and timely
• Perform and contribute to accounting control plan processes
• Document procedures and controls effectively
  

Requirements

• More than 10 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting in broker dealer business
• More than 3 years of experience in managing teams
• Knowledge of IFRS, JGAAP, and tax accounting sales
• Familiarity with broker dealer products and business
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Native level Japanese; business level spoken and written English
