Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination of Logistics Operations: Coordinate and oversee the transportation of goods including scheduling shipments arranging transportation and tracking deliveries to ensure timely and costeffective movement.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet demand. Monitor inventory levels track stock movements and coordinate with suppliers to replenish inventory as needed.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency reduce costs and enhance performance.
- Documentation and RecordKeeping: Maintain accurate records of shipments inventory levels and logistics activities. Prepare documentation such as shipping manifests bills of lading and customs documentation as required.
- Communication and Coordination: Communicate with internal teams external suppliers carriers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations. Provide timely updates on shipment status and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing transportation import/export and logistics operations. Stay informed about industry regulations and implement necessary measures to maintain compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in logistics operations and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination preferably in a similar industry or environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools including transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations import/export procedures and logistics best practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data identify trends and make datadriven decisions to optimize logistics operations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and recordkeeping.
- Problemsolving skills and the ability to resolve issues and challenges in a timely manner.
