Key Accountabilities:
- Understand all principles of Documentation Management and Control and implementation of processes.
- Excellent experience in Configuration Management Processes and policies as well as in identifying all Configuration Management requirements.
- Generation of Configuration Management Plan as per Product / Project requirements.
- Establish training content and lead training activities on PLM/CM best practices and principles.
- Liaise with the project team to give guidance on the implementation of Configuration Management Principles.
- Identity CM requirements that cover the system, hardware, software, and data/info requirements.
- Collaborate with the project design/development team to provide support on multiple, concurrent configuration baselines aligned with the CM Plans.
- Investigate process improvements and make recommendations for system changes.
- Ensure adherence to the established CM procedures in the context to the respective projects.
- Deliver training classes on Best Practices and Standards as applied to Configuration Management and PLM to our end users.
- Coach, and guide engineers on the Configuration Management Processes they need to follow.
Experience & Education Qualifications:
- Minimum: 10+ years of extensive hands-on experience in configuration management / document control within a systems engineering methodology in a technology company.
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in an Aerospace or Defence environment
- Be certified in and International CM Course (Minimum 4 Courses)
- Technical background with diplomas in either Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of ANSI/EIA 649
- 15+yrs In-depth understanding of system engineering principles.
- 10+ years leadership experience in PLM System implementation.
