Job Summary:
Operator (PCB): The Operator (PCB) is responsible to install electronic components on the PCB as per the design, soldering them and performing quality check. The job incumbent is expected to operate equipment of the PCB line including SMT and THP processes from solder paste screen-printing, automatic solder paste inspection, Pick and Place, reflow, automatic quality inspection, automatic washing and automatic conformal coating to automatic functional testing (including X-Ray machines).
Key Accountabilities:
- Read and interpret the blueprint, job specifications, etc. to determine part identification, part colour, number of parts to be run and instructions
- Insert components on the PCBs in the prescribed order as per the design and PCB loading list; solder the components in the circuit boards using soldering station as per the standard operating procedures
- Set up each job by arranging and setting up all equipment with correct atomizing air pressure and flow rate pressure
- Visually check the assembled board for missed out components, wrong value components and dry soldering ensuring correct and damage free components are placed on PCB, with zero defects in mounting
- Run the production line by loading racks, selecting and installing correct program, adjusting machine controls as per the production run sheet, operating conveyors, hoist, pre-treatment and alarms
- Aim to achieve productivity and quality standards ensuring maximum output and minimal quality issues
- Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances
- Spot process disruptions and delays and report potential areas of disruptions for timely action
- Work with technicians and supervisor to troubleshoot equipment failures
- Consistently work towards reducing repetitive errors and improving work processes
- Maintain logs and records and document the number of components assembled and software used
- Maintain a neat and well-organized work area and perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner by following applicable safety and quality standards and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Experience & Education Qualifications:
Expertise:
Minimum: 3 years’ of relevant experience in PCB Assembly
Preferred:
5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Minimum Qualification :
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent in related field
