Estimator - Furniture

• Preparing estimates and Bill of Quantities for projects received.
  
• Assisting with the production feasibility studies and estimates from minimal design information through to detailed cost plans.
  
• Interfacing with the clients and consultants in the pre award stage.
  
• All major strategic procurement from identification of approved materials verifying quantities as per the plan v/s actual.
  
• Working closely with suppliers and clients to improve operation and reduce probable costs while project executions.
  
• Coordination with the operation manager and the BDE.
  
• Coordinating with procurement advising on supply constraints forecast information or products recommendation on alternative products push through scheduling of orders reports on order status etc.
  
• Monitors and prepares cost variations.
  
• Verifies & certifies suppliers and vendors invoices and quotes.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or a related field.
  
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the upholstery and furniture manufacturing industry.
  
• Strong understanding of upholstery and furniture manufacturing processes materials and finishes.
  
• Familiarity with CAD software and other estimation tools is advantageous.
  
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to perform accurate calculations.
  
• Detailoriented with the ability to interpret project specifications and blueprints.
  
• Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
  
• Time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• A proactive approach to problemsolving and a commitment to delivering reliable estimates.
  
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and ecofriendly materials in furniture manufacturing is a plus.
