HSE ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
We are looking for an experienced HSE Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health safety and environmental management. As an HSE Specialist you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing implementing and maintaining HSE policies procedures and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conducting risk assessments audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Providing HSE training education and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigating incidents accidents and near misses and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Collaborating with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning design and execution phases.
• Monitoring and evaluating workplace conditions equipment and practices to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Managing emergency response procedures including evacuation drills first aid training and crisis management.
• Participating in HSE meetings committees and forums to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends regulatory updates and emerging HSE technologies and practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must be Immediately available and based in UAE.
• Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or related field. Certification in HSE (e.g. NEBOSH OSHA) is preferred.
• years of experience in HSE management preferably in a design consultancy construction or engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations standards (e.g. ISO 45001 OHSAS 18001) and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and conducting HSE audits.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills attention to detail and problemsolving abilities.
• Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for promoting a culture of safety health and environmental sustainability.
