Assistant Project Planning Analyst - 3C Metal

We are looking for an Assistant Project Planning Analyst to join our team in Dubai to implement and monitor planning processes to ensure efficient delivery of the projects.

Main responsibilities:

• Support in the preparation and creation of project plans for major projects and engineering planning on Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Analyzing data sets from engineering installation and manufacturing with an ability to understand trends and projections.
• Plan and control project scheduling structure and report progress.
• Provide the weekly and monthly progress updates to Planning Manager forecast completions together with critical path and trend analyses.
• Support in providing comprehensive cost engineering management reports within the projects for all levels by cost control and analysis.
• Establishes cost baselines for project activities based on award
  value/estimates maintain budgets and analyze actual against set up budgets.
• Support in the preparation of internal and external reporting tools for progress measurement such as follow ups and dashboards.
• Maintain existing tools and work on their continuous improvement

What you bring (experience & qualifications)

• Minimum 2 years experience predominantly in a planning or analytics role.
• 2 years of experience using scheduling software
• Degree in engineering or business management would be preferable.
• Good knowledge of engineering/design scope job working instruction / procedures good project control practices in planning and scheduling and overall awareness of projects.
• Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6
• Foundation knowledge of Excel specifically with pivot tables
• Power BI knowledge or qualification would be an advantage.
