What is your day to day?
- Clean and sanitize facility restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedure.
- Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
- Empty and clean trash bins as required.
- Replace light bulbs.
- Refill restroom dispensers and re-order supplies.
- Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events as required.
- Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets.
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers, and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
- Wash walls and equipment.
- Document cleaning activities on daily logs.
- Check for unlocked doors and windows throughout the facility and report any unauthorized occupants.
- Turn off lights in vacant rooms.
- Remove debris from outside sidewalks, grounds, and parking lots.
- Use hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an as needed basis.
- Wash accessible interior and exterior windows.
- Handle recycling materials.
- Assist with inventory control as needed.
- Enforce and support policies established by management.
- Perform related duties as required and requested.
- Follow safety procedures.
- Report safety concerns to supervisor.
- Cooperate and work with other employees to make an effective team.
- Share information and ideas to improve individual and team effectiveness.
- Identify and understand quality criteria for task performance.
- Identify quality problems and report them to supervisor.
- Load/ unload boxes of containers, tops, product, and packaging materials.
- Operate manual pallet jack.
- Any and all other duties assigned.
Physical Job Requirements -
- Ability to operate equipment as needed.
- Ability to perform all duties in a timely and effective manner.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time on a regular basis.
- Must be able to adequately perform required job functions. This includes being able to lift, bend, and move in such a way as to perform job tasks in a safe and approved manner. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
