We are currently seeking a dynamic, strategic, and innovative Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team. This is a permanent role that will give you an opportunity to shape the future of our healthcare organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of our company, ensuring that our hospital runs efficiently and effectively to provide the best possible care for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of the medical industry, financial acumen, and exceptional leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan to help achieve the company’s mission and objectives.
- Oversee daily operations across various departments including finance, human resources, and medical services.
- Work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to plan and develop strategies for operational processes and improvements.
- Prepare and manage the hospital’s budget to support operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain an understanding of healthcare trends and legislation.
- Collaborate with medical and non-medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Lead and motivate staff to meet performance goals, foster employee alignment with corporate goals, and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Implement data-driven, continuous operational improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Services, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial management, and healthcare regulations.
- Proven experience in operations management with a track record of effectively leading an operation's team and managing various types of healthcare professionals.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and provide direction to a large team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Familiarity with MS Office and various medical software.
